TIVE'S history - International Volleyball Tournament of Esmoriz

 

The TIVE - Tournament Esmoriz Volleyball is definitely a tournament that already has some weight in the national and international volleyball, which from the beginning has shown surprising figures on various aspects, in 2009 the Esmoriz organized the 1st Tournament Edition that in two weeks of competition with about 493 athletes to pass through the fields of Esmoriz with these athletes came 23 delegations who formed 47 teams throughout the tournament.

In the second edition of the TIVE in 2010 the Esmoriz get to have the first tournament with a foreign team, this time with a coming of representation of Spain (CV Esplugues), with this club came 33 more clubs have achieved a fabulous number of teams by rank with a total of 57 teams, with this edition a total of 854 athletes to participate in various levels from Mini B to Junior

The Tournament symbolizing school break during the Easter holidays in the third year of publication in 2011 could once again, be very relevant number and thus the first week 247 athletes and 450 in the second week at youth level.

The TIVE has not stopped and in its 4th Edition had two foreign presences, two more coming team neighboring Spain (CV Ourense and Vigo Volleyball C). Tournament was marked with the number of athletes of around 500 athletes with a total of 20 delegations to participate in two weeks of volleyball.

In 2013, Esmoriz Gym Club organized again the TIVE and this time was undoubtedly the biggest record participation in this tournament, had honor to receive in your city 790 athletes in the two weeks of games with 21 clubs to attend, and 64 teams are participating in the Mini, Children, Started, Cadet, Youth, and Junior Men and Women. It should also be noted that this issue was the presence of the National Team of Portugal Junior.

In the year 2014 TIVE had the presence of three foreign clubs (TUB Bocholt Germany (Germany), LV School (Ireland), St. Raphael`s (Ireland)) with these presences Tournament became even more complete also with over 21 clubs attendance to take competition 50 teams at all levels, with a total of 666 athletes.

Last year, with the 7th edition of International Tournament Esmoriz Volleyball, managed to get amazing numbers, 5 foreign countries which brought to the tournament a huge pride and will to continue to give more and more to this than has been the biggest and best tournament at national level.

This year, in its 8th edition, the TIVE has the presence of a staggering 1000 athletes, representing 32 clubs and about 100 teams from seven different countries, which are Portugal, Spain, Angola, Germany, Hungary, Turkey, Northern Ireland.
