In order to achieve this goal, the club organized the first edition of the International Volleyball Tournament of Esmoriz - TIVE - in 2009, providing an interesting and stimulating interaction to the young athletes, not only in their sports life, but also in their civic education and future life.

 

This is the 8th edition and it will take place from 22-26 March for the U15 ranks, U17 and U21 (men) and U14 levels, U16, U21 (female). From 24 - 26 March, it will be for the Minis rankings (U12). This tournament is already a national reference, with the presence of several foreign teams and it has been providing a richer interaction to our young athletes, as well as a strong development and motivation for the practice of this sport.

 

Created in 2009, the International Volleyball Tournament of Esmoriz has two basic objectives: maintain a competitive sporting activity during the Easter holidays and provide relaxing and fun moments to all athletes when they are not in competition.

 

This tournament has the important and indispensable support of the Esmoriz Ginásio Club athletes. Without their help to ensure the entertainment programme, to develop publicity and communication, to ensure the technical record of all the matches, there wouldn't be TIVE, so it is fair to say that TIVE is from the EGC Athletes.

 

From the beginning, it is possible to see all levels of training and it is held during two weeks at Easter holidays. This year it will last only one week.

 

Over the last eight years, we had more than 5,000 athletes and more than 320 teams from several clubs which have honoured us with their presence.
